Data Protection Declaration

The protection of your personal data is an important issue for us. We therefore use your data solely on the basis of the legal regulations (GDPR, Telecommunications Act 2003). With this data protection information we wish to inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website and our newsletter.

Contact with us
If you wish to contact us by means of a form (only included if we place the form online) or by email, the data you provide will be saved for the purpose of dealing with your request and for the event of any follow-up questions. This data will not be forwarded without your consent.

Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files which are stored on your terminal with the aid of your browser. They do no damage. We use cookies to make our offers more user-friendly. Some cookies remain on your terminal until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit. Should you not want this, you can set your browser so that it informs you about cookies which have been stored and which you permit only from case to case. When cookies are deactivated the functionality of our website may be compromised.

Google Analytics
On our site we set up Google Analytics, a service for web analysis belonging to Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, referred to here as ‘Google’. Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, text files which are saved on your computer and so enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information created by these cookies, for example time, place and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, are transferred to Google in the USA and saved there.

We use Google Analytics with the extension ‘_ga' and '_gid' on our website. In this case Google will shorten your IP address, and therefore make it anonymous, within the member states of the European Union or in other states that are members of the Agreement within the European Economic Area.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on the website activities for us, and in order to generate further services in connection with use of the website and the Internet. Google will also transfer this information, where necessary, to third parties, in as far as this is legally regulated or in as far as third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

Google has stated that it will in no way make a connection between your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of the cookies by using the corresponding setting on your browser software; we wish to point out however that in this case you will possibly not be able to use all functions of our website fully.

Moreover, Google provides a deactivation add-on for the most common browsers, which provide you with more control over which data Google gathers concerning the websites you view. The add-on informs the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no information about the website visit is to be transferred to Google Analytics. The deactivation add-on for browsers of Google Analytics does not prevent information being transferred to us or to any web analyst services we have employed. Further information on installation of the browser add-on can be obtained from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB

You can prevent this by setting your browser so that no cookies are saved.

hCaptcha
In our contact form we use the service hCaptcha of Intuition Machines, Inc, a US-American company based in Delaware ('IMI'). hCaptcha is used to verify whether data entered into the contact form has been entered by a person or a bot. For this purpose hCaptcha analyses your behaviour on the website or on the basis of other characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as you access part of a website or app with activated hCaptcha. For this analysis hCaptcha evaluates different information (e.g. IP address, the length of time spent on the website or the user's app or mouse movement). Data collected in the analysis is forwarded to IMI. hCaptcha analysis in 'invisible mode' can take place completely in the background. Website or app users are not aware that such analysis is being carried out if no challenge is displayed. Data processing is based on art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: the website or mobile app provider has a legitimate interest that its website is protected from improper automated crawling and spam. IMI functions as 'data processor', acting in the name of its clients, as defined in the GDPR, and as 'service provider' in the sense of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Further information on hCaptcha and IMI guidelines for data protection and terms of use  can be found using the following link: https://hcaptcha.com/

IP addresses
Your IP address is saved for approximate localization. Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal regulations in § 96, Section 3 TA and item 6 Section 1 lit a (consent) and/or (justified interest) of GDPR. Our concern in the sense of GDPR (justified interest) is the improvement of our offer and our web presentation. As the private sphere of our users is important to us, user data will be pseudonymized (Pseudonymization is recommended on the legal basis ‘justified interest’; this must be clarified with the web analysis service). User data are saved for 14 months.

You have the possibility to subscribe to our newsletter. For this we need your email address and a statement from you that you agree with the subscription to our newsletter. The newsletter subscription can be cancelled at any time. Your rights
Basically, you are entitled to information, correction, deletion, limitation, transferability of data, cancellation and objection. If you are of the opinion that processing of your data violates data protection law or that your claims to data protection are violated in any other way, you can file a  complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Data Protection Authority.
