Product data
Field of application
- Wide contact flange for bonding to weather protection sheeting
- reusable
Advantages
- Simple discharge of standing water
- Temporary drain in the middle of the ceiling
The EPDM roof drain is a reusable flange that enables the discharge of surface water into pipes. As a result, the risk of standing water on horizontal surfaces is reduced. While the self-adhesive protective film remains in the component, the flange can be cut out before sealing the opening and later reused.
- Material composition
- Polyethylene with flexible EPDM rubber
- Working temperature
- -5–30 °C
- Colour
- Black
- Storage
- Cool and dry in the original packaging
Processing guideline
Info
The hole for the drain is to be drilled at the low points of the ceiling, taking into consideration a possible deflection of the construction. The diameter of the hole should be about 100 mm. To prevent the flange from creating a ridge, it is recommended to slightly abrade the wooden ceiling in the area of the hole.
Standing water can then run unhampered into the flange. The flange must be set flush into the ceiling before the construction period protection is placed over it and bonded over the full surface. Subsequently, the seal is opened with a cross cut in the area of the hole and the film is folded downwards and fixed carefully to the pipe. A pressing roller ensures that the film is firmly connected to the flange. Below the ceiling, a drain pipe must be pushed over the gully pipe and mechanically fixed. The pipe is continued appropriately in order to discharge the water safely out of the building. In order to avoid accidents, the hole in the ceiling must be clearly marked and it must be ensured that there is no danger when walking on the ceiling. The gully must be removed before further levels are installed on the ceiling. The hole is then sealed with the original drilling core, which can be bonded with OMEGA QUILLI if necessary.
The gully is reusable and can be used for further assignments.
