Advantages

  • conform to RAL and ÖNORM standards in one step
  • heat-insulating
  • permanent long-life
  • sound-insulating
  • tight against heavy rain
  • air-tight
  • more vapour-tight indoors than outdoors (in winter)

Product data

ISOWINDOW FSB Foam Joint Tape is a pre-compressed and slow expanding foam joint tape made from soft permanently elastic, fine-pored polyurethane foam, uniformly impregnated. The special impregnation produces an increase in the vapour-tightness of the tape when exposed to warmth. ISOWINDOW FSB Foam Joint Tape is suitable for predetermined gaps (e.g. in wooden constructions) to achieve one-step conformity with RAL and ÖNORM B 5320 sealing standards for joints between the construction and windows.

Processing guideline

The tape is applied to a window before fitting:

determine width of join and select appropriate tape. Open the roll and cut off the first 2 cm. Remove approx. 20 cm of the liner. Attach the tape so that it overlaps the window frame. Let the light grey powder-coated side face the inside of the room. Cut off tape at upper corners leaving an overlap and make butt joint flush with the frame in the corner. Repeat this procedure on all sides. Fill expansion joints with AIRSTOP SPRINT Sealant . Fit window. The expansion of the tape can take longer at low temperatures. The process can be accelerated by spraying moisture on the tape (aerosol can).
